Coiled Basket in Polymer Clay
Materials
  • Polymer Clay (Metallic Red)
  • Polymer Clay (Black)
  • Sculpey Glaze Gloss
  • Non-stick baking pan
  • Oven preheated to 275 degrees
Instructions
  • Mix metallic red and black clay (Add just a pinch of black clay) You can also make this with Brown clay.
  • Make a slender coil by rolling the clay on a flat smooth surface.
  • Start winding the clay as shown.
  • Continue winding to form the basket shape. The shape should be such that it is broad at the top and narrow at the bottom.
  • Stop winding when you reach the desired shape. Make a handle and fix it exactly at mid points.
  • You can make a small rose or a bow to complete the basket. Bake at 275 degrees in an oven. Apply Sculpey glaze gloss.
