An Ornament for Any Occasion - By: Jenna Zadymov

Instructions
- Blend together Red, Yellow, Flesh, and Brown FIMO polymer clay. I like FIMO soft because it’s easier to work with and for this project you don’t need to do any fine work, so FIMO soft is perfect. Roll the clay mix. Get a small cookie cutter of any shape you like. I used Christmas theme for this one.
| |
- Cut a shape with your cookie cutter. Kids can help you they love this part. Just make sure your clay piece is large enough.
| |
- Here is where the fun begins! Again, this is just one of many ways to decorate your ornament. I used small glass beads. Use pliers to add the beads because they are tiny and you don’t want to mess up the uncooked clay with your fingers.
| |
- Here I am using a flat wooden tool to make grooves for the next step of decorating.
| |
- These are tiny glass marbles.
| |
- Sprinkle the marbles in the grooves. Push in with a shallowtool to secure in place.
| |
- Make a hole to run a ribbon through. Bake at 275 degrees for 15-20 minutes if using FIMO or Premo polymer clay.
| |
- Experiment with different decorations. Add a bow maybe. Decorate spruce branches, wrap gifts, you can even personalize them by writing a person’s name. Give them to your friends, decorate your Christmas tree. Make clay stars, bells, angels. Don’t forget to have FUN!!
