How to make spider on a web for doll’s house from polymer clay

Materials
  • Black, blue, yellow, green, red, translucent clays
  • Glue
  • Pin
Instructions
  • Mix together 2 balls 0.1 cm each of black and blue clay

  • Then roll it in a log. Cut this log to 4 pieces. 3 have to be the same size, one bigger than
    the others.
  • Take the biggest piece and shape it to oval. Take another piece and roll it to ball and attach to oval.
  • Another 2 pieces mix together again and roll it to new log 2.5 cm long (has to be very thin). Cut log in 4 pieces 0.63 cm (1/4 inch) each.

  • Roll tiny 8 yellow balls and attach them to each end of the 4 logs.

  • Make 4 tiny balls of green clay and attach to the head of the spider. Make a cross with red clay on the spider’s back.
  • Now, put your spider on his back and attach all 4 legs to the bottom.

  • Put him on his legs and press slightly to work surface. Use pin to lift his legs to arch form.

  • Take translucent clay and roll a log 10 cm (4 inches) long. Cut it into 5 logs.

  • Make the ball of translucent clay 1.2 cm (1/2 inch) and roll it into a log 18 cm (7 inches) long, cut in a half and roll again into a log 15 cm (6 inches) long. You need to get 4 logs with different lengths and create a web.
  • Bake spider and the web.
  • After, you can glue spider to web with and place your new “pet” in your doll’s house dark attic on the ceiling.
