Instructions
  • Roll out the translucent clay to a thickness of about 1/4 inch, large enough to cover the three pendants.
  • Slice very thin layers of your cane and lay on top of the translucent clay.
  • Smooth the canes onto the clay strip with a roller.

  • Lay the pendants on the clay and cut around each of them.
  • Insert the cabachon shaped clay pieces in the back of the pendants. Gently force the clay cabachons into the pendants into a beveled shape. The clay should be close to but not covering the metal prongs of the pendants. Smooth and trim the clay on the back of the cabachons. Bake for 30 minutes.
  • After the pendants have cooled, apply texture to a thin sheet of clay that coordinates with your cabachon. Cut the clay to be the size of the pendants and apply to the back of each, sealing with your fingers. Bake an additional 10 minutes.
  • Add shiny glaze to the cured clay cabachons and let dry. Attach the necklace pendant to the black buna cord necklace and finish the earrings with fish hook findings.
