Condition some translucent clay, and push it into the cabochon, rounding the top and slicing off the excess on the bottom (but be careful to leave a little bit sticking over the sides of the hole or it could come out when baked).
Roll out some dark brown clay into tiny snakes and lay them on to look like branches.
Make small balls of light pink clay, elongate them, and put them at the cross section of the branches, radiating a central point.
Repeat 3 for the other cross section.
Roll small balls of dark pink clay, and put them in the center of the flowers. Impress a hole in the middle of the balls.
Linda-I did not use any kind of gloss or varnish on this although I’m sure you could. I think that leaving it a matte surface it gives it a more porcelain feel.
