How to make a clay hot dogs - By: Katie Nielsen

This tutorial shows how to make little clay hot dogs. Hot dogs can be topped with almost anything, and here are some of my faves!

Instructions
  • First, roll out 3 balls, one a dark brownish-red and the other two a light golden brown.

  • Roll out the red ball into a long tube, which will be the hot dog. Roll the other 2 balls into tubes and flatten one side of each, which will be the hot dog buns.Using a pointy tool, texture the inside of the hot dog bun.

  • Attach the two sides of the bun together and place the hot dog inside. Now we have a hot dog!

  • To make a ketchup and mustard, roll out a skinny snake of red clay, and also a yellow one. Place them on top of the hot dog in a wave pattern.

  • For a relish and onion hot dog, make several tiny balls of green for relish and tiny balls of transparent for onions. Flatten them out slightly and pile hem on the hot dog.

  • For a more interesting type of hot dog, try making a spaghetti hot dog. Just roll out several long snakes made of White clay mixed with a dash of yellow. Place them on the hot dog in a messed up pile, and then flatten out a few small puddle shaped pieces of red clay for the sauce. Then top with meatballs, which are just tiny balls made out of brown clay.
