This little clay cactus is perfect for any type of dolls house, or just for display.

Instructions
  • First, roll out a ball of reddish brown clay, roll it out slightly so it is flat on top and bottom. This will be the pot.

  • Roll out a ball of the same colour, and roll it out into a snake.

  • Flatten out the snake, and wrap it around the top of the pot.

  • For the dirt, roll out a ball of dark brown clay and then flatten it to be the size of the top of the pot. Leave it slightly thick.

  • Using the back of a paintbrush, texture the dirt. Then place it on top of the pot.

  • Using a sharp tool, texture the cactus by drawing small little “X’s” all over the surface of the cactus.

  • Cut a few pieces of wire of different lengths and poke them into the pot. Then make several dark green balls of different sizes and thicknesses and place them over the wire. Attach smaller green parts to the sides of the larger parts of the cactus.

  • Make several tiny little balls of white clay and form them into tiny little pointed cones. Attach them all around the cactus to create the prickles. You now have a finished cactus!
