Making Peanut and Jelly Sandwiches out of Polymer Clay

Instructions

  • Using a light yellow clay, roll out a thick cylinder shape.

  • Roll out a thick sheet of a darker brownish colour for the crust. Cut out a long rectangle shape long enough to wrap around the cylinder.

  • Roll them together and gently and roll the log as long as you want the loaf of bread to be.

  • Taper the bottom of the bread and then use a knitting needle tool to indent the top of the loaf of bread. Then place in the freezer to set for about 10 minutes.

  • While the bread is setting in the freezer, mix some purple-red clay with liquid sculpey and brownish-yellow clay in another puddle with liquid sculpey. This is the PB&J.

  • After the bread has slightly hardened in the oven, it is so much easier to slice. Use a sharp knif or blade to slice off slices of bread.

  • Spread on the PB&J on the slices of bread. i mixed some brown clay with Liquid sculpey to make a chocolate spread too. Place a slice with jelly on it with a slice that has peanut butter to make a PB&J sandwich.
