The Clay Store Newsletter

Issue Five - October 20, 2005

Hello!

It’s hard to believe we are already in the middle of October, the holidays are fast approaching and we are as busy as ever at The Clay Store! We are currently sponsoring the Polymer Clay Central Harvest themed contest offering gift certificates to the first, second and third place winners. We had lots of entries in our September giveaway of the Lisa Pavelka Pendant, the lucky winner was  Susan Gibbs of Houston Texas, congratulations Susan!
We’ve added a new Gallery area in our Tutorials section featuring polymer clay work done by friends and customers. This is another great place to show off your work in addition to the Forum, we would be happy to include your work, just send us a digital photo and description and we will include it in  the Gallery.
Lots of new titles have been added to our Books section and more are on the way. These are great if you’re beginning your holiday gift making and need some inspiration.
Reach us at: newsletter@theclaystore.com.
Best regards,
Susan

On the horizon…

Having difficulty finding an appropriate venue for selling your clay creations on the internet? How about The Clay Store?  Several customers have expressed an interest in a consignment area where their work could be displayed and offered for sale. We are seriously considering this and would love to have your opinion.
Would it be useful for you? We are in the process of working out the specifics but generally the idea is that you would send your item to us and we would photograph and list the item in a consignment category at The Clay Store. You would be listed as the artist, and a link to your website would be provided if you have one. If your item sells, we would  package and ship your item, take an agreed upon commission and  send you a check for the balance. Although there are lots of details to work out to make this successful for you and us, we think this could be a great way for you to  get some exposure (The Clay Store is currently a page rank of 4 and growing!) and advertise your work. We really want your ideas and opinions on this, please email us at: opinions@theclaystore.com.
