The Clay Store Newsletter

Issue Three - July 31, 2005

Hello again!

Welcome to the latest issue of The Clay Store Newsletter, a lot has happened in the last month! We announced our winner of the Syndee Holt Travel Studio contest, Nancy Munthe of Illinois was the lucky winner. We are currently one of the sponsors of Polymer Clay Central’s July 2005 Patriotic challenge and will also be sponsoring the challenge in August. We’ve added lots of new products and have more coming soon. Our forums section is taking off with a growing number of active participants and we have a new area in our tutorials section called  "Artist’s Interviews" where we are currently featuring two interviews with Carol Law Trachy, editor and writer with PolymerCAFE Magazine, and Lisa Pavelka, polymer clay artist, author, and owner of Heart in Hand studio.
We are including more responses from you in our "Clay As A Business" section regarding your experiences in the marketplace this month. Still in the works is a selection of "Clay Gear", shirts, totebags, coffee mugs, etc., to advertise your love of claying.
Thanks to all of you who continue to communicate your opinions, thoughts  and suggestions regarding The Clay Store. Keep those great ideas coming!
Reach us at: newsletter@theclaystore.com.
Best regards,
Susan

Lisa Pavelka Products…

We are really excited about offering the following Lisa Pavelka products:

Poly-Glaze is a quick drying finish for Polymer Clay that glazes, seals and protects. The finish is glass-like, and allows you to skip the sanding, buffing and polishing. It has a crystal clear finish, layer after layer.

Poly-Bonder is the only instant bonding glue designed for use with temperatures up to 300 degrees. With it’s convienient brush-on applicator you can fuse raw to raw or baked to raw clay in seconds.

Waterslide Collage Transfers are sheets of beautiful vintage images that can be easily transfered onto uncured or baked clay.

Soft Glass Flexible Jewelry Tubing…

The easiest way yet we’ve found to make trendy, fashionable necklaces and bracelets is with the Soft Glass Jewelry Tubing from Pepperell Braiding. We have two sizes and a rainbow of colors. Attach your designed piece of art, finish the ends of the tubing with a connector and you’ve got a great piece of jewelry to wear or sell.
